Uvuloplasty

Patients with mild to moderate sleep apnea often have obstructions occurring at the region of the uvula. As a result, this tissue can fall back during sleep – effectively blocking the path for airflow.
A uvuloplasty is an office procedure performed under local anesthesia. It addresses obstructions that occur from an enlarged uvula. Depending on your anatomic findings, excision or modification of the uvula will occur to provide the best result.
